Working with everyone – a quick case study from the Further Eduction sector
While he was working at a factory production complex in the FE sector, Chris assessed and coached a diverse spread of administrative, clerical, production and management staff. With a mission to establish “a change for the better”, Chris challenged his teams to find ways of improving productivity through self-motivation and analysis, using a range of Business Improvement Techniques (BIT). 

The improvements had wider benefits. Chris demonstrated the positive effect of a change in Health & Safety, using HSG65: the ‘Plan – Do Check – Act’ model. Departments began looking more closely at their tasks with a view to seeing how the methods they used, and the contribution they made, impacted on the business as a whole.

The process was completed successfully within the required time frame. And the outcomes were all positive. As employees began thinking more about their role in ensuring Health & Safety across the company, costs went down. The time spent ‘firefighting’ Health & Safety issues went down too. 

Just as importantly, employees had learned efficient and valuable new skills – it was an empowering experience for all.

Chris is experienced in training staff and external delegates in all areas of risk management and Health & Safety for accredited and non-accredited courses, including high-risk areas such as the construction sector. He’s trained delegates on in-house courses and nationally accredited qualifications, including NEBOSH and in areas including:
